Berdan Cıvata, a leading innovator in the fastener manufacturing industry, has been awarded second place in the prestigious 9th Productivity Project Awards, organized by the Republic of Turkey Ministry of Industry and Technology.
The company was recognized in the highly competitive “Localization Category” for its pioneering project, “Design and Manufacturing of a Coupling Machine Capable of Automating the Assembly of Bolts, Nuts, and Washers from Fasteners of Different Sizes and Types.” The award was presented at a ceremony held at Bilişim Vadisi (Technology Development Zone).
The national competition, executed by the Ministry’s General Directorate of Strategic Research and Productivity, saw submissions from 596 companies across Türkiye. Berdan Cıvata’s project stood out for its significant contribution to enhancing operational efficiency and advancing domestic technological capabilities.
A Leap Forward in Manufacturing Automation
Designed and manufactured in-house by Berdan Cıvata’s R&D Center engineers, the award-winning Coupling Machine is a testament to the company’s commitment to innovation. The machine is already registered by the Turkish Patent Institute.
Its primary achievement is a dramatic increase in the assembly speed of bolt, nut, and washer sets, guaranteeing on-time delivery of orders in any required quantity. Beyond speed, the machine ensures superior quality. It performs the coupling process by applying precise lubrication to achieve the exact friction coefficient needed to provide the torque value mandated by international standards, specific to each product’s coating and strength class.
Leadership Recognized at National Ceremony
Berdan Cıvata’s Technical Operations Director, Dergah Uysal, accepted the award from the Minister of Industry and Technology, Mr. Mehmet Fatih Kacır, and TOBB (The Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey) Board Member, Mr. Zeki Kıvanç.
